OK FINE I'LL POUR DIVINE LOVE AND TENDER CARE INTO MYSELF →

During the darkest depression of my life just five years ago, I sought refuge in a Buddhist monastery for a silent meditation retreat.

Having just navigated the unexpected implosion and loss of my entire reality as I knew it, I walked up to those big wooden doors as a hollowed-out version of myself… wounded, stripped raw, lost, devastated, ashamed, cracked open.

After hours of sitting on the cushion each day and meeting my gnarliest demons face-to-face, I joined the other seekers for our evening Dhamma lecture with the elder Buddhist nun who was leading the retreat.

Although we couldn’t speak, the retreat participants were invited to each write down one question on a small slip of paper for the nun to answer after her nightly discourses.

I eagerly scribbled, “How can I soothe the pain of my grief? How can one navigate such intense darkness?”

When she chose my question from the wooden box and read it aloud to the room one evening, my heartbeat sped up as I hung onto her every word… drinking in her insights like a parched desert traveler.

She closed her eyes and sat in silence for a long moment, the air pregnant with wonder, empathy, and a shared, felt familiarity with this inescapable facet of the human experience.

Her deep, honey-like voice slowly began,

“Grief is a very unique emotion. Its process is unpredictable, and quite different for every person.”

“I invite you to view grief like the waves and tides of the ocean. At first, the waves will come out of nowhere - huge, strong, disorienting. You won’t even see them coming before they knock you down. You may feel like you’re flailing, drowning, and gasping for air. Desperate to find which way is up.”

“After time, the waves get smaller, less aggressive. They may still knock you over, but you’ll see them coming. They’ll become more known, more familiar. You’ll trust your strength to survive it.”

“Eventually, the waves will come down to your chin, then down to your shoulders, your waist, your hips, your knees, and finally, down to your ankles. They may even rise higher again at times.”

“Your true work is to accept that these waves will likely never go away. Not fully. Your work is to stop resisting the waves and learn to accept them. To witness them, build a relationship with them, cultivate compassion, and be with reality as it is.”

Five years later and I am still deeply moved by these words.

They served as a gentle, yet powerful flickering light of hope and clarity in what was previously a chapter of the most suffocating despair I’d ever known.

And… I’d like to add a few things I've learned since then ;)

As long as we’re in human bodies, grief is forever.

Emotions are forever. Resistance is forever. Messiness and cringe and confusion and contraction and discomfort and change are forever (which also means: so is the opposite side of the spectrum!).

So rather than taking the route of…

  1. Pathologizing, shaming, and comparing ourselves,
  2. Making our humanity “wrong,”
  3. Thinking we need to be fixed and saved,
  4. Convincing ourselves that our pain makes us less worthy, desirable, or lovable,
  5. Creating stories, meanings, and expectations of what grief and heartbreak “should” look and feel like,
  6. Dissociating from our bodies, emotions, and humanness and only ever being the floating, objective “witness,”

Instead, what I’ve found to be the most effective, expansive, nourishing, and regenerative way to navigate grief, loss, heartbreak, and big life transitions is to:

  1. Establish a felt sense of safety in the body,
  2. Lean allllllll the way INTO our sensations, feelings, and experiences,
  3. Give them a voice and let them be felt, moved, and expressed without inhibition,
  4. Witness them, and ourselves, with radical love, compassion, and curiosity,
  5. {**the essential, yet often overlooked or unknown step**} Cultivate Eros and turn-on to alchemize these emotions into fuel, power, momentum, creativity, pleasure, and aliveness.

After being a tender-hearted, sensitive ass human for my entire life who has now extensively trained in Somatic Sexology, Sexual Dearmoring, Body-Based Healing for Trauma Resolution, Sacred Intimacy and Neo Tantra, and Integrative Sex, Love, and Relationship Coaching

One could say I’ve become somewhat of a master at making love to the full-spectrum human experience.

Hi love, I'm Nadine Hamilton.

Certified Integrative Sex & Embodiment Coach | Somatic Intimacy Educator | Sexological BodyworkerHost of The Sensuous

My fierce passion for pussy liberation and sexual reclamation is deep-rooted. I knew from a young age that my mission in this lifetime is to be a disruptor and permission slip, especially in relation to women’s empowerment, pleasure activism, and dismantling internalized shame & repression.

I love nothing more than activating something within others that cracks their heart open and awakens them to their true divine essence.

Through a heart-wrenching “dark night of the soul,” the healing of my own sexual traumas, traveling solo around the world for most of the last 10 years, and many synchronistic events that led me to more deeply connect with my pussy and womb, I was guided directly to my purpose and current path. I no longer view my sexuality as transactional, triggering, goal-oriented, performative, or something to hide, but rather as an incredibly empowering, spiritual, and integral part of what makes me, me. My own journey has ignited me from ashamed, scarcity-minded, self-conscious, and directionless to freely expressed, purpose-driven, radically self-loving, and orgasmic living.

I am dedicated to sharing this sacred work of holistic self-healing through the context of sexuality, as I believe (& have experienced for myself) that it cuts directly to the root of so many of our issues and blockages in life.

My methodology recognizes that you do not need to be healed, saved, "fixed," or transformed by anyone elseAll that you could ever need or learn is already within you. My job is simply to walk by your side as we unravel all that's been keeping you from your deep inner wisdom, wild capacity for pleasure, and radiant, creative, authentic Self.
